In 2019, after more than 26 years of building in the Lowcountry, Nathan Zane became the construction-forward, design-build company that balanced customer vision with project timing and budget that we remain today. Over those years, we have become an essential part of a close-knit community that includes Charleston's most gifted architectural, construction and design professionals. It also includes each and every one of our homeowners. The success of all of our high-end construction projects has been built on a foundation of honest relationships and authentic communication.

Our Leadership
Jay Henderson
For over 3 decades, Jay Henderson has been a leader in residential construction in South Carolina and is known best for his integrity, commitment to excellence and straight-forward communication. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Construction Management, Jay started his residential building career in Charleston in 1993, becoming a South Carolina licensed Residential Builder (1994) and an Unlimited General Contractor (2000).
A team guy, Jay works closely with design professionals, including top architects, craftsmen and suppliers to build and renovate homes that will provide the client with personal enjoyment and excellent investment value for years to come. He remains committed to delivering high quality projects to his valued homeowners in a timely manner by employing and supporting high character, trustworthy, motivated, flexible team members.
Matt Parmer
Matt Parmer started his career in the construction industry when he founded High Tide Renovation LLC in 2017. In 2023, Nathan Zane Design Build and his growing company joined forces to bring their unique blend of design expertise, technical knowledge, and hands-on experience to every project. Matt relishes the opportunity to lead a team dedicated to creating exceptional, personalized spaces for homeowners.
As a passionate advocate for high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional client service, Matt ensures that every project—from kitchen remodels to full home renovations to new construction—meets the highest standards. Matt prioritizes the perfect balance of aesthetics, functionality and value in bringing the vision of his clients to life.
